Nice setup.
Something that has been bothering me lately is that no one has really been talking about how to deal with the Camaro's weight. It is a pretty hefty car. The Mustang 5.0 is little over 300lbs. lighter than the Camaro and will probably smoke it at the starting line. What can I do to make my car lighter? I really don't want to remove my seats. |

I'm with most others here,i believe it should be posting better numbers, maybe it's due to who was conducting the runs,....?...i must be off my rocker cause i kinda like the shifter,?

Exactly ... Street Tires, Bunches of TQ < 1/4 Track times
LOL at the FORD fanboy comments ... I don't think they bagged the runs ... traction issues .. it would be cool if they would post timeslips so you could see the crappy 60 foot times .. Crowley

Yep, the details are in the timeslip. Get someone who can drive and then look at what the times are. Good driver should see mid 11's.

I'm sorry but that car is ugly as hell. The seats suck and that shifter looks like a 6th grade arts and craft project. The only thing I can say nice about it is the engine sound good.

I'm sorry but I love the pin-stripping job. Its the nicest i've seen in a while. I also like the shifter and the tires. The weight seems pretty excessive to me.

Hello!
|
I like it...one of the better "special editions" I've seen on here. I even like the shifter!
One note though...I know everyone think if you slap a supercharger on a Camaro it should run 11s...but reality is they don't! Yes...I know I'm slow and can't drive my supercharged Camaro...but it's really more than that when you talk about this type of set up. This is the stock tune from Magnuson, stock air box, stock exhaust manifold and the stock pulley. The intake and exhaust hurt it as much as the tune but when added together, it really hurts the cars total performance. Yes it's faster than stock, yes it's a blast to drive and yes the potential is there...but in this form, low 12s is really a great time! Heck, even Hennessey advertises their HPE550 at this time! So it's not slow...it's what is expected Add LTs, CAI and a solid tune, swap pulleys to get the psi back from the mods and sure, you have an 11 second Camaro...but like this, with a warranty of 3/36...this is what you get. I have one...I own basically this same set up (TVS2300 and catback)...my car would not, could not...even with a good driver...pull a 11 second pass! Get a freak of a driver in there...maybe...but not the norm folks! |

Love the sound of it and the performance upgrade they did but not crazy on the looks of it at all. SLP ZL575 is the package i would get atm hands down.

That thing if fugly. Did they choose the accent paint color from cheap door knobs. The goldish color on the rims is a disgrace. So you got an ugly car, an ugly shifter, and underperforming engine for an extra 30k. I am guessing most SS owners could drop $15k and have a better looking and performing car.
