The interior has grown on me. At first I didn't like it at all. Now, I feel like some of the others have stated. It isn't poor quality workmanship, just a different design. The steering wheel is unique, the 4 gauges are in the wrong place just like they were 40 years ago, the speedo/tach are funky (look way cool all lit up), and it has bluetooth, heated seats, pdim, dic, etc. It is meant to be different. Mustang and Challenger interiors could be found in the taurus, or 300C. The camaro interior is camaro only.

I like it. Any modern interior is better than the one in my Cavalier in quality and looks.

I love the interior... the ambient lighting really makes a difference, but I would still love it without it

I guess I'm one of those people that really doesn't really care about ambient lighting. In fact, it was an option on the GT500, but not one I would have opted for. My wife's 2008 Chrysler Aspen SUV has ambient lighting throughout, as well, and while it does create a pleasant atmosphere when it is in use, it's certainly not something that would be any sort of deal breaker on whether or not I purchased a car.
As for the overall interior on the Gen5, I'm not too impressed. I was hoping it would be as well thought out and as nice as the interior in my 2006 GTO but, alas, that is not the case. I think, like Ford did with the Mustang, they tried to hard to give the interior a retro feel. I would have prefered that they keep the exterior retro-styling but created a more modern interior design. Like others have said, while it is not what I would have wanted if I could choose, it's not something that is going to keep me out of the car when I decide to buy one. |

I like the interior...in fact, I could get a Challenger SRT8 loaded at employee cost and 0% but I thought the Challenger interior was very cheap looking!! After sitting in the Challenger and then seeing the Camaro at Indy, it was an easy decision as to which car I would order. If the interior is that bad to you, then get a Challenger. See you on the street.

To Dkiter & camaro_corvette, did the interior look/feel cheap, or did you just not like the design? Most of us have not seen the interior in person, so the materials/feel is a big mystery to us. I don't mind the design of the interior, but am concerned about materials/feel. I am hoping the whole thing is not cheap plastic. If you would provide a bit more detail, it would be helpful to those who have not seen it in real life yet.

These are nothing to write home about. The challenger steering wheel is horrendous. I like the mustang a little better, but it does look like an interior that could be on any ford car in their lineup (except the steering wheel). I do wish that chevy would update their website with some real interior photos. The ones on the forum here don't look professional like these do (sorry guys).

i gotta join the 'i like it' crowd. at first, i didn't because it looked weird, but after seeing how it's developed, i think it really carries the spirit of the car - to pay homage to the classic, but keep it somewhat modern. i'm one of the crazy people who don't really want all the fancy doo-dads cluttering up the cabin. just give me seats, input controls, gauges, radio, & HVAC. wait... that's what they did & tastefully so. yeah, it's an out-there design, but so is the rest of the car (by today's bubble-car standards). that's what makes it unique. i can't wait til i can finally see one in person & feel the materials (not that i think they'll be inferior - i just like the reassurance)

I like this one but it isn't real! The second one doesn't show the dash well enough.

I'm gonna make passionate love to the interior the first night in the garage.
If you don't care for it, there will be a million mods for the interior.

You see what started it: Corvette Stingray! I stumbled across a pic I can't post involving an exhaust system.
