Cold Air Scoop
Hey People
thinking about installing the cold air scoop and relocating the washer bottle to go with my CAI (which is awesome by the way). Is this worth it? I saw a video of a guy shooting air into the scoop on you tube. Seems like he says no. thanks |

Our customers seem to be happy with it.

Doesn't seem like shooting air at it is very scientific. From what I have heard it makes a small difference. I am trying to do bolt ons that do not void warranty so every bit helps.
I am installing mine this week and report back personal experience. |

Absolutely worth it. Scoop is a huge compliment to the CAI Intake. We have a great package if interested over in the V8 Sponsor Section

I went from a 13.4 to a 13.1. Only change I made was lighter wheels and a scoop and washer bottle relocate. And I'm not sure how much the lighter wheels helped since I couldn't get any traction. So I'm willing to bet the scoop definitely helped.

i had a carbureted ( i know, shame on me ) corvette that had a factory cold air system that worked at a certain speed..also i have a race replica motorcycle that has a cold air system as well, it starts working at 100 mph...
i added a banks air system to my duramax with the scoop, drawing wind from under the hood just doesn't seem right.

I did my install today. I installed the apex scoop and relo kit, I already had the cai intake. The install was very easy and straight forward.
When I went and test drove it it seemed peppier and am happy with the results. Did it chuck me into the back seat, no but didn't expect it to. |

If I can spend 1/4 of the cost of an intake to make it 1/3 more efficient, I am all for it
