idk about the zl1 bumpers...I get way too many people askin me if I have a v8, and when I say no, I get some pretty mean looks. I would feel as if I dont have the power to back that up.

it is sexy as hell though.

I have been looking at used SS prices, and the cost it would take to supercharge mine. I think it would be cheaper to trade up to a used 2010/2011 SS with some miles on it. I am just a sucker for that deep growl I guess. I also want a manual...

Remember mileage costs and more importantly insurance go up to though.

I thought the same thing but going FI keeps me with V6 insurance rates (which for a 21 year old I do not need the V8 premium at all).

Sorry ive been MIA guys!! Was stacked with school and work as well as going back and forth with hospitals and neurosurgeons for my mom.
But thankfully I finally had my last exam today. Feels soo good to finally have free time to even post on C5, havnt had time to do anything in weeks.

How are all my brothers and sisters doing?

I actually feel the same way but just because the v8 bumper is distinguishable by the mailslot. To an enthusiast, they'll be able to tell but to "normal" people, they probably won't be able to tell the difference. Plus I really like the no mailslot part of the zl1 bumper

I thought the exact same thing. But after factoring in how much I drive my car, mpg I'd get with the SS, maintenance costs, and insurance, it was a big difference. Plus with me being 19, the insurance would have sky rocketed. And to be quite honest, the "I don't feel complete without the v8" part of me has kind of gone away. I am completely happy with my v6 and will be going forced induction in the near future.

That's how I am right now. Have two tests still this week, two papers and two more tests next week. Kind of swamped but I'll get it done. C5 is kind of my haven from all the stress of school

That's about what I get honestly. I get about 24-25 mpg at 75. And I have that one dialed in by heart because I do 75 for 150 miles almost every two to three weeks traveling to and from home. That's how I measure if mods have made any improvement in mpg

After doing so much research on what I want to do with the car cosmetically and going through so much pictures of parts, I finally know what route I want to go with this thing.... Now I just need the money but I will get there soon enough.... Almost done with the performance mods...

Lmao who else hates almost all of the splitters that are available for our cars? I just don't like any besides the gfx one.... The others look weirdly slanted to me, or just don't look that good in my eyes.

And shipping!?!? Some placed rape you with that fee
