Who installed the 1LE rear end? Did you just install the 3.91 gear kit?

I had it done at Lucky's in Longview. Unfortunately I had to go with an entirely new rear end, axles, and hubs. Not fun for my wallet but great for my right foot.

I hope to attend the Palestine car show this Saturday and if all goes well, I will attend the Hwy 80 Cruise on the 29th.

Why did you have to replace everything and not just the gears?

My camaro started life as a 2LS and had a 7.6" rear end where as all the other trim levels had an 8.6". There was a bit of fuss a year back when Richmond started making 3.55 gears advertised to the V6 crowd. Many (myself included) bought them only to find out they didn't fit the 2LS. So I figured if I was going to have to upgrade the rear end I might as well go big with the 1LE setup.

Ah. Thanks for the explanation. I am planning on putting the 3.91 gear kit in my SS and when you said you had to replace the whole rear end my heart sank. Glad to know I should be able to go forward with my plans.

I don't know if Jaymie and I will be able to make it to the meet today. My mother had a stroke yesterday and is in the hospital. If she happens to be discharged then we will be there but if not we will see everyone at the next meet! Also I saw that the H=Town Camaro club is doing a show in Kemah in May. Is anyone interested in going? We could probably get a group rate at local hotels for the event.

MEET AT 3pm today guys!! sun is coming out!!!! Then lets possibly go to palestine.

Palestine Car Show was fun but the weather impacted the number of entries, we had about 70 percent compared to normally full lots...
The Mustangs had about 40 cars...pretty impressive when they entered one by one....

I had the only 2000 plus and the only camaro...won first place by default.

Don was there with his SSR....

Lot of nice classic cars....

Also the Doo Wop cruise ...met at Courthouse at 6 pm...DJ with 50 and 60 music...cars of palestine came....frees soft drinks....food vendors...did some burn outs on some of the muscle cars....fun, fun...got pictures...

Nick came and had fun with us...cruised to Herschels for free ice cream

Wished all you guys could have come...maybe next time...

Ready to make Hwy 80 cruise next Saturday.......who all is coming ?

I hate that I missed it. I intended to go but seems like every weekend here for the last 2 months there is something coming up where I can't make it.

Got my Stainless Works cat back exhaust installed today and it sounds great. So far I don't notice the drone issues with the AFM system kicking in. I only drove it from Turbo Toms on 155 south back to the office on the loop and Copeland but I will know more driving home today.
