Diff fluid change
I have a 2013 Zl1 that has 15k mi. It's seen 3 HPDE and lsfest last year. How often when tracking your car are you changing your gear oil.

I change yearly but, I track 6-8 road courses a year and it gets hot here. If yours has not been changed yet, I’d do it now. How often depends on how much you race. You have a diff cooler so you can run yours longer. If you race often like I try to do, yearly is a safety precaution. I change coolant yearly, trans 5k-10k miles (I’m a auto), oil until about 30% life left (I do have blackstone reports for diff, trans, and engine oil — which helps me decide when to change).

I have less track days annually than Don, at around 3-4, but change annually. it's too easy not to...

You may be correct. The ZL1 may have a different rear end/clutch pack design.

Any change of fluid is better than none... I would personally prefer to change the diff fluid when changing the engine oil for a few changes in a row to flush things out instead of doing that (excellent but time consuming) procedure.

That's the procedure from a TSB where there is noise on cold turns from the diff. That TSB specifically states a regular maintenance change does not require any of that. |

I have never consciously changed mine. I don't know if they do it at the service department when I take my car there for a regular checkup. Going to ask now.
