New Headrest

Was getting tired of the white border around the ss emblem on my headrest so I went ahead and did this.

I'm guessing fabric marker or crayon (looks like marker to me though)

I used just a normal red sharpie from walmart then put a 1 water to 1 vinegar solution to let the dye set in. I also did the middle console and floor mats. Really impressed with it. Will post pics of the others in a minute.

By far the cheapest thing I have done to my camaro so far. Cost me about a buck for the pen and 2 hours of my time. Also, in the photos it may look pink but in person it is a dark red. I did 2 "layers" of the marker to make it a deeper red to match the car.

I like this idea. Just curious what you meant by 'solution to let the dye set in'? You covered the colored portion in the solution?

There are better fabric dyes than sharpie... Go to a fabric store or walmart. You can apply it w a very fine brush from the crafts department - or a dried out felt pen that you've washed out in xylene.
