Anyone happen to have a set/extra set of ZL1addons deluxe (long) rock guards?

I picked up another Z/28 (2014 build 428), however zl1 addons now only has the short deluxe rock guards. I went ahead and ordered a set since something is better than nothing, but they just look off since they don't match the front wheel flare extension length wise.

If anyone has a decent used set, or an extra new set laying around, of the long rock guards, I would be happy to buy them from you for above what you paid.

I have to say I was disappointed in how they didn’t match up to the z28 so I produced my own set from plastic sheeting, textured towards wheel and gloss towards side skirt. It comes out further to protect the side skirt and better protection with wider wheels. Not many folks will put the time into producing their own but if your so inclined it is possible to produce a better product, at least for our Z28’s.

If I had the knowledge or time, I would give it a shot. However in lacking both, I suspect I'd just get pissed off trying lol.

Yep I got the email this morning and promptly bought 2 sets (in case I get another Z in the future)...now I literally have 4 spare sets of rock guards, and a long prototype (non-deluxe) version as well lol.

Do you know if these are the newer style with clips and 3m tape and no drilling required?

No idea. I didn't know there were any with clips; my last set had to have a hole drilled. That being said, I'll still drill the hole if they do come with clips. I trust a screw much more than clips and tape.

I saw a video on YouTube from Lethal Garage and he was putting some deluxe long rock guards on a 6th gen Camaro. He mentioned that the old style required drilling but the new style used a factory bolt plus 2 clips and 3m tape.

Ahhh, I gotcha...the 6th gen ones are different than the Z/28 version. I had them on my 2016 2SS and my 2017 ZL1. That doesn't mean they didn't change to the clip style now though for the Z/28 either of course. Will reply back to this thread when I get mine in to let you know

Thanks ... I ordered a set as well cuz I don’t want my ceramic coating to get destroyed.
