Switch Placement

Where and how could I mount switches to where I wouldn't permanently damage the car but are still easy to reach?

Any pictures?

In my Camaro, i had 2 toggle switches for lights and whatnot. One was resting under the seat and another inside the console, but my toggle switches were housed in a 2x3 control box(plain plastic box that i punched a hole in)

We make a switchplate that fits in the cupholder.

Here is our new switchplate made from acrylic. It deletes the rear cupholder for the switches, but retains the front cupholder. It nicely fills the entire cupholder area while wrapping around the top cupholder. These are available with up to 5 switches.

We will custom label every switch for you as well as custom color the labels to your liking. Here is one with orange labels in a 5 switch setup:

As a side note, these are available in a brushed stainless finish.

I put one switch for my kitt light and halos where the HUD control would be if I had it. Enough space for a second switch and if I decide to take them out someday there are plenty of people who make awesome custom plates to put in that spot which will cover the holes.

DragonZ28 those plates are awesome!! I need to find a use for 4 more switches so that I can utilize it! Added that to my future mod list!

I don't have the sunroof option so I put a touch sensitive switch there to control my EE halos:
red is off

and blue is on

For my ABL, I removed the cigarette lighter and put a rocker switch in it's place:

and to turn on the switch:

That is very cool.. I have no need for switches at this time but this makes me want to come up with a reason to need them lol.

The cup holder idea seems to be the best.

All of those locations are excellent choices to mount switches. I like the fabricated switch panel for around the cup holder.

How much would one be if y'all didn't label it?

I think he meant 8 bucks less then what they regularly would be if they didn't have the labels on them.

No labels and two switches would be about $50.00. Additional switches are $5.00 each, so it depends how many switches you want. However 5 is the max that will fit.

Thanks. Roger
