Having the cai, axle back with a vmax shouldn't need a tune. Ill give this a bump because thats crazy for black smoke to come out.

How many miles on the engine? Check your oil level.

It is the gas quality that is doing that......no big issue. Just wash it off when you wash the car. I would normally use degreaser. Came off easily.

Yep its the gas.....I would get wicked amounts when using 93. Comes off easily.....don't worry. Burning oil would be a bluish gray smoke out of the tailpipes.

Also remember that the v6 already run rich from the factory which definitely will cause your tips to be blackened.

No your gas is fine......no need to worry about the gas or anything like that. It will always happen. Has for me since around miles 500.

No avoiding the soot tune or no tune. I use 93 and quit cleaning the inside of tips, it happens daily. I just clean the outside to keep them shiny and let the inside just look black.

My double walled magnaflow tips are just too purty not to clean....so I clean up all the time lol. But yes...seems like a common thing with this V6.
