To those who have installed lowering springs.

Im fixxing to install my lowering springs from Apex on my 13 1LE. Seems pretty straight foward. 2 Questions I have as I have seen different things in install videos. 1. Can springs be removed without spring compressor. 2. did you cut the little plastic bushing, i've seen saying to cut 1" off and i've seen no cut?

I do not have an 1le but the SS should be the same. No spring compressor needed and no cutting of the bushing with my Bmr springs.

Spring will be under a tiny bit of tension but no compressor needed.

So I got the drivers side front done and back together and back on the ground and not sure what is going on or where I could have screwed up as it is pretty straight forward but the wheel and tire are sticking out to far. Not just a little bit but close to 1/2"! How is that possible? The spring should have nothing to do with that.

So I figured out that I did not line up the upper strut bolt right and the camber was way off causing the top of the tire to be pushed out. Took it all back apart and now the sway bar bolt does not line back up the bolt on the sway bar is about 2 " higher than the bolt hole it goes in. How do I get it pushed back down and lined back up?

Helps if you follow the directions. Turns out there is a reason they say to jack of both sides as it frees up the sway bar. Also why it says to mark the upper strut bolt so that you can put it back close to the original position. Sometimes I wish I thought things out before running to this forum and look like an ass!
