New car sat on lot for 220 days
I did a test drive looked for scratches and dents. After negotiating between a few dealers one of them offered me a great price on a 1LT RS New which I purchased and have been happy with.
Fast forward to today and I get a call from the dealer that that lost my business and he proceeds to thank me for the opportunity and tells me that the vehicle I purchased from the competition was cheaper than his because it sat on their lot for 220 days. This left a bad feeling in me and was wondering if I should do anything Maintenance wise. What is your thoughts on the car sitting so long? Thanks |

Mine sat for 3 days on the dealers lot. Around 7 months isn't that big of a deal, enjoy your ride!

My ZL1 only made it as far as from the truck to PDI when I bought it, but they got a yellow 2LT vert in early 2012 that as of 3 months ago was still there. I guess the dealer likes it better than anyone else, lol.

220 days on a car lot, 220 days parked in a garage, 220 days parked in the driveway.

Yikes. My main questions are :
What was it used for if it had 180 miles? Why it sat for that long (i.e. why did no one else buy it) If it was test drives, I'd average about 100 or so at least... and none of them bought it? Again, why? |

I would not sweat it. Ours sat from December to July and we got it with 13 miles, but there are a couple paint spots that bother me, but only I can see them. small bird dropping smudges. Would hurt it worse to have them correct it.
Drive it and don't worry! |

I think mine may have been on the lot for only few hours when I called about it.
When they prepped it, they didn't even put the dealership sticker on the back like most dealers do (and I'm grateful for that).
