Trading the 2SS for a Focus?
Rented one last weekend to go to the shore with some friends and I was blown away by how cheap it was to get there. With the gas savings it was literally cheaper to rent a car than take my own, lol. For instance, in my truck one way is about $60 in gas and the Focus only cost $15....LOL. My main complaint with the Focus was lack of trunk room (had to leave my beach chair behind which actually fits no problem in the Camaro). Number two complaint, you lose a lot of comfort going from a full size vehicle but it was OK to drive I guess.
But man the gas savings. I have a two hour daily commute (round trip) and the gas savings would be so huge that it would be like getting the car for free compared to what I'm paying now in my V8s, lol! Yea, I've never owned or driven a economy car before and never knew the gas mileage and savings was so dramatic! But the number 1 thing I like about my Camaro is the seats are like the most comfortable ever! (well, at least the front seats that it, heh.) Can someone talk some cent$ into me before I go ahead and do something crazy like trading in my 2SS on a Ford Focus? Or I can give you guys my Paypal and maybe we can get like $5000 in donations so that I don't have to worry about gas prices for a while, what do you guys think, hehe. |

My DIC currently says 20.8 average mpg in my 2SS. And that's with some spirited driving here and there, lol. But man, $15 fill up vs $40 plus 36mpg! That actually comes out to a major difference in practice!

Really though, If you really want that focus, get a Focus RS. Otherwise don't bother. |

Just get a cheap Honda beater for long commutes. Good on gas, cheap to fix, last forever, and you will still be able to keep the Camaro and the truck.

I sorta understand. I went from a 650whp CTSV to my current 1LE. I commute as well, and the 12mpg in the V was a bi*^#. I enjoy driving all week on a single tank of gas now. And honestly love the 1LE. It handles awesome! Good luck with whatever you do.

No my current work car is a focus is an uncomfortable pos. I went from a f150 to that and waiting on a Tacoma to come in the tranny is horrible on them, I wish I could drive my camaro for work!!

My previous vehicle was a 2014 Grand Cherokee SRT with a 6.4 L Hemi and full-time all-wheel drive. I bought it new and traded it off at 25,000 miles, 11 mpg lifetime average..
My Camaro has averaged over 14 miles per gallon the last 43,000 miles only 10k of which I put on. It's all about the smiles per gallon

I think only certain ones, I think the ones with the dual-clutch automatic? I don't know but it's definitely not all of them so do some research
