It has a tight ride but I think most of us here use it as our DD. I do and enjoy it

First welcome to the forum.
Second find a different dealer, any Camaro can be a daily driver. It all depends on what you want. Many use their Camaros as daily drivers and many use them only for weekends or pretty days. I don't have a 1LE but I do know operating costs will be higher for it. Mainly because of the price of gas and the tires. Remember also the tires do not do well in cold weather or snow, so a second set of wheels and tires may be necessary if you don't have a winter beater.
Just things to consider before buying.

Going from a V6 fourth gen to a 2014 1LE was a huge improvement in ride quality for me. It's my daily driver while I'm breaking it in and I couldn't be more comfortable in it. I have the Recaros and they are nice as well.

I DD my 2013 1LE and I love it. As stated above gas is a little expensive but you don't get a v8 if gas is your main concern. If my dealer had told me I was too young for my 1LE when is was trying to purchase I would've walked right out and gone elsewhere.

DD a black beautiful 1LE. Don't settle....don't buy whats on the lot (thus the "track car" comment) order what you want, get the NPP!!! Recaro if you can swing it and if you do just remember to pull your seat belt out then down to avoid the leather friction burn....... then just drive

Enjoying the daily drive in my 1LE, I got caught in a absolute downpour of rain yesterday and the big front tires don't like heavy water on the road, otherwise a real blast to transform a boring drive into a fun drive.

Welcome. Chicago.....winter....and a 1LE may not be ideal. I would def get a beater for the winter and any significant amout of rain fall.
