REPLACEMENT HID BULBS

What's everybody using on their Camaros 2010 or so to replace the factory HID bulbs? I got a brand off of Amazon and one of them is out after 2 months. thank you in advance.

https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (D3S, 4300K, 35 watt)

Not cheap, but dealer wanted $300 plus tax for one bulb

Have been running fine for over 4 years. Think these are OEM, or equal to OEM.

They have been my go-to for HID bulbs. Any product line will do. They look absolutely fantastic on my car.

I swapped my standard lights for these LEDs. I currently have 3 years and 16k miles on them. They work great.

I’ve always been happy with lighting I have gotten from Diode Dynamics:

https://www.diodedynamics.com/replac...ulbs-pair.html

In the past they have offered free shipping if you mention you are coming from Camaro5. I think they may have also run things like Labor Day sales in the past as well.

I've always been a big fan of Diode Dynamics and a guy I went to college with, his brother is partial owner. Great company and great products. I have their LED's many places in my car and will be going to them for headlight replacements when needed.

After seeing some of the ridiculous HID bulb prices I decided to try some from Amazon made from the finest Chinesium available for less than $45.00 for 2.

I see no reason to spend over a hundred dollars for ONE stinkin light bulb when the cheap ones see to function just fine.

Were these direct replacement?

I'm not sure what you're asking. I just removed my old halogen bulbs and popped these LEDs in there. They are a conversion kit (with the capacitor, I think?), so they're just plug-and-play.

These will not work if you have HID headlights. They will only work if you have the regular halogen lights.

This is more or less what I was after. I should have been more specific. I wasn't sure if they could be retrofitted in HID housings.

Thank you both though.

for anyone that has replaced there hids did you notice better visibility at night over say 12yr old original bulbs? I just refurbished the lens and they are crystal clear now. they are by no means bad currently but if they are say only 80-90% currently i want to improve them
