Calling into CSX with the railcar number. Becky posted the info somewhere in the tracking thread and my dealer sent me the railcar number.

Perhaps I should stop calling. Now it says it's in hold status in Battle Creek with no ETA. Then from there it rolls by an Cadillac plant. Gah! Cadillac plant for a consist making its way to the west coast? That'll take forever to load!!!

Robot: "What are the car's initials?"
Me: "ETTX"
Robot: "That was B E E F"
Me: "No"
Robot: "My mistake, please say the car's initials"
Me: "E T T X"
Robot: "That was "EEES"

You'd think with a corporation as big as CSX they could at least afford to license AT&T's voice recognition software.

So far at day four she's at Gibson Yard in Hammond, IN.

Look at that, they still have a working turntable and roundhouse.
(Sorry, railfan here)

If it doesn't get to Phoenix by the end of next week, I'm gonna get out and push!

Rare to see the turntable and roundhouse still in operation these days.

Such beautiful photos! I hopefully will be driving mine next Friday. Also amazed how many railfans are in this TPW group.

That is a pretty amazing coincidence, huh?

I was following the rails in Google and noticed my car went by Durand, MI. There's a diamond and really cool old station there.

One of the first trips I was going to take in my 1LE was over to CA for a weekend and take some photos of Cajon Pass on the way. I'll make sure I send you copies when I do.

Also, I've noticed that I use far too few emoticons for this forum. So.......
