Camaro OEM Car Cover

Hey everyone. I live in New York and will not be driving my car during the winter months. Unfortunately my Camaro will have to sit outisde the whole winter due to my lack of having a garage. Just wondering if the OEM cover would be a good choice to cover her with the whole winter or do you guys recommend a better choice of a car cover to survive a New York winter. The car will remain covered all winter and not be uncovered until the spring. I know its a little early but want to be prepared for when the time comes. Thanks alot.

Do not waste your money on the OEM cover. In my opinion they are junk. You can do a lot better out on the aftermarket!

if i had to park outside i wouldnt put a cover on it because any movement from the wind will move the cover and scuff the paint--i have seen it many times-jmo

I have a OEM cover ...cost me 260.00. it's a real good sail mater..it wont scratch your paint at all..fits like a glove with mirror pockets and a shark fin pocket too...get the cable lock also so no one can steal the cover...

I thought some people said the with the winds it causes movement of the cover and it can eat through the clear coat and scratch the paint. Im going to be in the same situation around Oct or Nov but it wont be sitting the WHOLE time lol.

If money permits, rent a storage space for the winter. Some are climate controlled and your camaro would be locked up safe and sound.

Im really torn about what to do for the winter. I just purchased a 95 Nissan Pathfinder this past weekend to use as an everyday winter beater car but I still dont know how to store away my camaro. I wish I knew someone with garage space to spare but sadly i dont. Do you guys think that the car cover will scratch the paint. I have heard conflicting ideas from everyone i ask. I'll be heartbroken if i remove the cover in the spring to find my baby has been damaged.

do you live in a apartment? i would suggest buying/building a little carport, you will still want a cover, but you wont need something TO extreme. That combo will make her MUCH more protected, good luck!

for indoor or outdoor fair weather, the OEM car cover works just fine. Extended outdoor storage and/or in bad weather, go with a high quality after-market car cover. Good luck.
