Anvil Spoiler and ZL1

Has anyone tried to install an Anvil spoiler on the ZL1?? thoughts?
I have a satin finish one and am thinking of taking it off of my SS and putting it on the ZL1 (if I get it today!!)

Itll work but I think youll have to drill the hole that the ZL1 dosent have because of the gap in their spoiler.

Personally I like the looks of the ZL1 spoiler much better, and it probably performs better as well.

The spoiler on the ZL1 was designed specifically for it and it is functional. If you change it you will alter the aero properties of the car, since it is designed for high speed, it probably wouldn't change much day to day but if you race it it could.

one of the reasons I bought the ZL1 was I liked most of the aspects of it. I like the anvil spoiler but not enough to spend any money on it.

I have not seen one with that spoiler yet.

I am glad to hear about the functionality aspect. I am sure the anvil would not hinder the air flow effects based on its design. I only was wondering because I literally JUST put the damn thing on my SS and it feels like wasting 450 bucks. Plus the carbon fiber would match the ZL1 hood so beautifully!

But for all of you saying the ZL1 stock spoiler is all about function, thank you again for the feedback.
thanks to the rest of you for the opinions as well!

It really depends. on cars that have top speeds over 150mph if you upset the aero it can make it more unstable. this spoilder does not seem to have traits that would do that but you never know.

Vett owner have run into this going for looks. now if the manufacturer tested it for "aero" your okay. that the problem with looks mods though sometims you sacrifice prefromance for looks.

if the mounts are in the same location it is easy to test. throw spoiler on hit 1 mile straitway press pedal on the right. see if if the car is still stable past 150. flip side of the coin is not many people drive that hard so it might not be an issue.

since you already Have it I would try it out for sure.
