lease or buy? 2014 or 2013?
Hi everyone,
I graduated college and been working for 6 months now... So i can say i could FINALLY afford the camaro. I visited a dealership 2 months ago looking for prices and such and got an estimated payment of $350 for lease, 2k down, 39 months, 2013 Camaro 2LT, automatic. The sales guy told me that with my credit score of 700+ this should come down and since i want manual trans that the price would also drop. I am wondering if any of you could provide me with some numbers on payments, suggestions on leasing or buying, or any other information you can provide for me. PS: I would love the SS but as a current civic owner i feel that would be too much of a drastic change and the payment would be overwhelming. So, I would love to start with the V6 model, manual trans, minimum of the 1LT trim. I also dont have any intentions on making big modifications to the car and my yearly mileage shouldnt go past 15k. I would also love to lease so i can get the 6th gen when it comes out Thanks for your time!!! |

Leasing is a good option if you plan on getting the 2016 as long as you can keep your mileage down. With your credit score as it is $350 seems high for a 1LT, I leased my 1SS with a few options and I'm only paying $400 with a 700 plus credit score. If you plan on any mods which may happen even though you didn't intend on it like it happened to me, just make sure they're bolt on and you definitely can sell them here when it's time to turn in the car. Just make sure the finance dept at the dealer looks at all of the finance companies. You should qualify for a tier 1 lease through GMAC, or Ally Financial. Hope that helps. Get ready for perma grin when you pick up your car!

I had a 2012 2LT/RS that after owning for 1 year 10 months I had only 9,305 miles on (and that was my daily driver!) that I traded in on a lease of a 2013 2SS/RS because I wanted to get one before they were gone since I really don't like the rear end of the 2014.
I ended up getting a lease of $340 with nothing down but my trade in from my 2LT and when that's up I'll either buy the 2016 Camaro or get a Corvette so yeah, $350 for a 2LT lease sounds a bit high. |

I use to have a ford focus and just went all out for the 2ss/rs. I have no regrets and love the v8. If you can afford the v8, do it. If not, v6 is just as good

Going tenis weekend to Get the car. Any last minute information would be great. I see that around my area (zip 33326) I see a few 2LT. I was looking for 1LT manual. If anyone had any information on how low I can negotiate a monthly payment on lease for a 2LT would be awesome. Hoping for a low low price since they should be trying to get rid of them.
Info info! Thanks everyone! |

Can you lease any car, or only the ones that they have specials for? Ive thought about doing a lease, but know nothing about it. Could I lease a ZL1 with the option to buy later? Just curious......
