I'm glad you'll still be offering the spoiler. Will you be releasing the hood vent before sema? Sorry about my previous post. I took your post as you were delaying all of the z28 parts. Hopefully no hard feelings. Thanks for the quick response.
LOL, the hood grille we will be releasing also. We are looking into doing a poly carbonate see through grille for G5R.

Just to reiterate how small the market is, we got an order for our 2013 ZL1 rear spoiler from the guy who owns the company that supplies the CF ZL1 hood insert to GM. It isn't worth it for him to make his own, LOL!

Lol that's just sad. I guess the American muscle guys still aren't into carbon.

This thread was originally in the suspension section and was meant more as a tech install thread. When we became Forum Sponsors, the moderators moved it here and it has kinda evolved into G5.R's build thread.

We were going to actually do a build thread at some point but never got around to it.

Some of the other work we had done was in another tech thread in the V8 Engine section were we recorded most of what we did to the engine bay.

Since has kinda become G5.R official build thread, we figure we post some of the work that went into the engine bay area.

I will post pictures followed by the accompanying text as time allows.

there is not a word that can describe all that. Those pictures represents hours and hours of hard, long hours. I could say "wow", but that still isn't enough. Awesome work.

Thanks, we even forget how much work has gone into this car, LOL. Only by looking at the pictures do we remember.

All the work that went into the booster and brake pedal assembly plate was toreverse mount it so that we can hace a flat firewall.

Redoing the PS system:

We replaced the stock pump with a high performance Type 2 pump from Turn One. But we felt it needed a little TLC

The factory plastic reservoir tank covers the body of the pump. Being that we weren’t going to use it, left a big exposed gap between the back of the pump and cylinder head.

To make it more visually appealing , we had a piece machine to fill the gap.

Size: 109.1 KB

Much better.

After purchasing several aftermarket tanks and not being happy with any, we decided on CV Racing's. Unfortunately the bracket didn't work with the factory pump mounting bracket.

Name: 5.jpg
Views: 1608
Size: 137.8 KB

To mount the tank remotely meant we would have to have the pump rebuilt in order to machine the fitting into the housing for the hose line.

Name: 6.jpg
Views: 1577
Size: 104.5 KB

We also had to machine a piece to extend to CV fitting the PS reservoir to sit on.

Here you can see how we extended the fitting so that we could mount it on the tower. The bolt holes were drilled at the same angle as the tower so the screw would sit flush against the back of the tower.

And here is the end results. Looks like it was made that way, LOL! What you don't see is the amount of mental energy it took to figure all this stuff out!!! That was more work that the actual physical effort.

Here some of the work that went into the bracket before getting powder coated.

Literally every bolts has been replaced.

This is all just insanely beautiful. The great architect Mies van der Rohe said it best: "God is in the details". By that definition, that is one HOLY ride...
