Can you give us more detail on what you are doing with the Master Brake cylinder? It looks like you have 3 reservoirs setup, Is the 3rd reservoir that is still not linked up going to be for the clutch?

Also, what type of bolts are you utilizing that are seen in several areas of the motor that have the star shape on the head?

Here are some pictures detailing the Master. There is so much work that has gone into the master, it's almost stupid, LOL

We are still not finished as everything now needs to be detailed.

Obviously we couldn't ignore it and not give it a little TLC. All the markings were sanded smooth.

We had our bud Cris from JCG make us a billet check valve, which replaced the factory part.

The original idea was to mount the tanks on top of the master but the canister would clear the booster, so we had to relocate them.

To do this, Cris machined us an adapter.

We ended up mounting them on the side. I dont have pictures of the pieces we machined to mount them on the side. The car is completely apart...

As far as the lines, we first made our own to size. That we sent them to XRP so that they can make us new ones with crimp fittings. You can see the difference between the two in the pictures.

Here you can see XRP's crimp lines are much nicer!

Got the doors in today. Figure we will lose another 60 to 70 lbs.

There's really not much left on the car that came from GM, LOL

Moreno brothers, It has taken me several weeks to read the entire G5-R build thread and I can not add anything that hasn't been said previous. If I had one wish it would be, to be your age again! I got my mechanical engineering degree way back in 1974 and would have never ventured as far and fast, although you don't think so, as you have with G5-R.

Never let it be complete. Always push the envelope as there is no limit!!!

Figure I post some of the work that went into the trans. We are going to be rebuilding it to replace the gearing with 1LE gears. At least thats the plan right now.

Here is some of the work that went into the block.
  • The entire block was deburred.
  • All the sand casting was removed both inside and out.
  • It was then sand blasted.
  • Followed by ultrasonically cleaning.
  • Finally it was primer and painted gun metal with a satin clear.
