I had so many issues with my last Ford and Chevy Trucks I swore I'd never gone back. My last three have been Dodges and I LOVE them. Hard pressed to buy anything else... Have had less problems with all three combined than I had with any one Chevy or Ford (and that includes my camaro! haha)

2010 Camaro SS modified extensively. I stretched the body to make it a 4 door, but I swapped in the 3.6L DI V6 for fuel economy. Then I picked up a corvette body around the V8. I also swapped the body for a C2 Z28. (In short I traded it for three cars, a Corvette Z06r, a C2 Camaro Z28, and a Cadillac CTS Summer Performance package 3.6L DI with Aisin 6spd.)

I've got an '06 Ram 1500, 52k miles. I've been very happy with it until recently. Overall, it seems like they're cheaper to buy but more expensive to maintain. For example, they have copper tipped plugs that are supposed to be changed every 30k miles whereas most run much longer. I had to put $2000 into it last year for bearings and hubs, tie-rod ends, fluids, and a other odds/ends. I don't offroad or plow so I was surprised the front end wasn't more durable. Now, I'm looking at another $1-2k to pull the dash to replace parts of the vent system. I've had friends with F150s and Silverados, they've had their share of problems too but I don't remember them complaining about the sme series of spendy repairs like I'm seeing now.

I've had my 2004 SRT-10 Ram since it was new, 9 + years, 66,000 + miles, 300+ drag races, replaced a couple of clutches, one set of spider gears, but the engine does not use oil between changes, I have never had the valve covers off, pure stock internally, NA and has run a best of 11.63 @ 118. Love the truck...even though I am a GM man first (2000 Firehawk, 2012 CTS V coupe, 73 SD 455 Formula, 1964 GTO) this truck has been a blast and I am now to a point where we may rebuild the engine with heads and cam just to explore the limits of an NA 4100 lb truck, that is fully streetable....stay tuned for more this fall. Here's a video against a new Z06 (LS7, drag radials)....he called me out...and a second video against a Kenne Bell equipped Lightning....enjoy.

09 and up dodge trucks are very good. The earlier ones aren't bad, but they do like to go through ball joints and wheel bearings.

How do you make this crap up?? Seriously. Stop spreading completely incorrect information. It's incredibly annoying and makes you look really dumb. Did you just think of random parts and make that claim up??

Same here. I've had over 10 since the 03 change and have yet to change a ball joint or wheel bearing. A ujoint here and there but that's due to inexperienced plow drivers that don't stop the truck before shifting directions mostly. Your trucks may be overloaded if your going through stuff like that more than you should. Not a fault of the truck.

if it is a HEMI motor (5.7L) then it is probably pretty solid, even when Daimler owned them. if it was the magnum motors 4.7L or 5.9L then yes pure crap. however the biggest issues aren't the motors, it is the hybrid canbus electrical systems borrowed from MBZ and cross-bred with existing Chrysler LLC technology. some MBZ parts, some Chrysler, some left over $hit in parts bins from past years models that were mixed and matched. Early 1/2 year model builds with different parts than the later 1/2 year that aren't compatible, etc.
