Without seeing the underside, that car's integrity looks sound. Wrinkles and panels can be replaced and repaired. Driver side front suspension is a question mark.

Must be some really bad "hidden" damage because there's no way in hell that would cost that much to repair.

That damage is not as bad as it looks, its mostly cosmetic

I thought the link said engine damage. Maybe worse than it looks. Hope he's ok. What a horrible thing to happen, especially right before Christmas.

Exactly, the break in is not just for the car but for many who have never had control of that much power!
Hell it wasn't until after 6k miles that I comfortably took a turn at 1G.
