I personally love the cts-v. It has all the luxury amenities one could want and also the power and the interior quality to match and or beat Europe's finest.

Camaro to the heart so ZL1.....with that being said I love the cts-v sedan. I dont like the coupe but I even think the wagon is nice. Its just something about a wagon that is blown with 550hp.

Zl1 will be faster cheaper and is better looking IMO.

Cts-v has a nicer interior.

IF you buy a car for interior CTS-v is the winner. If you need four doors the CTS-v is the winner.

I don't see why you would pick a cts-v over the ZL-1 for any other than that though.

Service before and after the sell would be a good reason.

Service a Problem for Chevy's????

I usually don't buy a car based on a dealers particular service dept. If they are bad, I won't use them. If they are good, I will only use them if I can't get it done near my house. If I need warranty, then I will take it to them. But..... that's kind of rare. Service BEFORE the sale? Hmmmm... like putting on the $600 First Place Finish? Not trying to be difficult here, but I find "service" not really a significant buying influence. I know the dealers try to promote that on TV - mainly because that is their bread and butter dept. - but I'm not sold. And I know... you will say.... once I experience a "bad" service dept I will make it a higher influence. But NO! Dealers change people every year (some turnover, what might be the %)... I don't know. I know there are good dealerships out there, and the fact I only have 1 Caddy dealer within a 80 mile radius, and the closest is 50 miles, it just doesn't calculate for me. But I AM BUYING from an HONEST, ETHICAL, TOP QUALITY dealership from City Chevrolet. But, it's not based on service.
No Caddy can give me this look..........

Well as soon as GM bumps up delivery of my ZL1, I post of the video of wifey's CTSV vs ZL1 at SGMP........

So GM, if the rumors are true about January 2012 deliveries beginning, I post up one heck of a video

I had a last gen CTS-V. I can state from experience that Cadillac has much better service after the sale than ANY Chevy dealer I have ever been to. If you think outrunning some young punk in your Camaro is fun, do it in a 4 door Cadillac. It just adds to the fun factor. The ZL1 is a nice car, but I don't think it will be anywhere near as nice as the Caddy. Then again, I don't think its was meant to be.

Very well said.
Two different animals in some ways yes but the CTS doesn't has the stiff chassis the Camaro SS does. My Camaro SS makes the first gen CTS-V feel cheap , newer CTS and CTS-Vs has way better styling but build quality still isn't quite equal to the German rivals like Mercedes and BMW. However I still see the new CTS-V as a way sexier car than the ZL1. Nurburgring times prove the ZL1 as a more capable auto but still the V is no slouch , I droll when a new CTS or V drive by.

My buddy owns an '11 CTS-V and a '05 Lamborghini Gallardo surprisingly I haven't had the chance to drive the V yet being that I own a Cadi but I have driven the Gallardo which is just sick . He belongs to a some exclusive car club in Monticello NY and has use to a private track where they actually tested the V against the M5 before it was ever out on the market so I asked him which car was faster on the track and I was surprised when he told me his CTS-V was much faster on the track than His Gallardo. That being said IDK it would be a damn good race !

it comes down to interior, exterior, and four doors. the ZL1 will be better and faster in ever other way IMO...IF the quality is up to cadillac standards. i've had only great luck with cadillac's so far. WE will own more of them.

Oh and one other difference...........Cadillac has a 4 year 50,000 mile warranty vs. Chevrolet's 3 year 36,000 mile warranty. Just another consideration when you are comparing the costs of the two great cars.

I drooled at the color of this CTS-V at a recent Autoshow. Black Diamond Tricoat. Pictures don't do it justice. Was blown away by the amount of Metallic and depth. Stunning imho. Hennessey is building a dozen monster CTS-V Coupes with 1000HP and Tq. Looking forward to seeing how the ZL1 progresses.
Hats off to all of the people who have made these great cars possible.
