No one refers to a Camaro as an Ss or Z28. If you go up and talk to a random person, try telling them you drive a Z71, Z24. you'll get the deer in headlights look. People refer to a camaro as a camaro ss or camaro z28. I've NEVER heard of anyone just say I have a z28...
Thank you!! It may be unfortunate but it's true. I highly doubt any average person will know what "Z28" means. Personally, I'm quite happy with everything I've seen so far... And let's not forget that, so far... Even IF they don't make a "Z28", maybe with the LOADS of extra options available (dealer installed and factory installed), perhaps a supercharger package is/will be in there somewhere...

No, theyre probalby equals on the org chart. Scott "organizationally" has nothing to do with Camaro. He's responsible for the Chevy and Saturn displays at the autoshows. Cheryl is the Camaro Program Manager.

I BEG TO DIFFER, IF I SAID I HAD A Z/28 PEOPLE KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT, A CAMARO. IF I TELL THEM I HAVE AN SS THAT COULD BE A COBOLT HHR IMPALA. THE SS SHOULD HAVE BEEN A PACKAGE FOR THE CAMARO JUST LIKE IT IS A PACKAGE FOR THE REST OF THOUGHS CARS. BUT EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT THE Z/28

What exactly did Cheryl say???

She said,
Quote:
""There will be no Z28 model."
She did NOT say there will be no Z28 model for next years production run. UGH!!!

Guys, like Scott uses words, you have to put your own play on words too. He's not the only one, you know! Have faith. Have faith. Have faith.

There might not be a Z28 this year. BUT....it's not like they could EVER make one again! TRUST ME!!!!!

THE SKY IS NOT FALLING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!

Now....everyone take a deep breath.

There are two things constant in life, Death and Change...Either we have just witnessed the Death of the Z/28 or there changing the abilities of the SS to incorporate the performance of the Z/28 under the SS badge...They have said all along this car is a performance car...not just a stop light to stop light car.

Before you pass judgment, take it for a test drive....Maybe it’s has the handling and performance of a Z/28 and the HP of the SS. (Best of both worlds)....Only time will tell!

I call BS on what has been reported, and even if it is fact, that I am very displeased. Don't get me wrong, what has been released today is the best car I can think of but I'm looking for something that will pull your head off your shoulders.

I'd like to see what 'Father says before becoming too unhappy. Again, I still love the car we're shown, however, I'm expecting more...

I agree. However, the Z28 is for enthusiasts. And without it they have decided to leave us out.... For now.

I will certainly be happy with any blown LSA derivative Camaro. But the lack of Z28 is a big deal to the long term enthusiast. That doesn't make it a bad business decision. It is just bad news.
