I used to be a die hard NASCAR fan. It has lost a lot of its luster in the last 5 or 6 years though. Even the grandstands are half empty at some races. I am much more into the road racing now and follow IMSA and PWC. I love to see cars that I recognize racing. Especially when they are Camaros. Thanks.

I’m still a die hard NASCAR fan. I haven’t missed a Daytona 500 since 1969 and still attend 10 to 12 races a year (that includes supporting races). I’ll admit that after Earnhardt’s death and the introduction of the COT I lost some interest. I like the more “Stock Appearing” that they are running today. Especially the ZL1 Camaro! Just 85 days until the 2019 Daytona 500!

As far as the grandstands being half empty my personal opinion is that fans got used to watching the races in HD on their LARGE flat screens during the 2008 recession and just don’t travel like they used too.

I agree. The wife and I used to travel to 3 or 4 NASCAR races a year that were all over the country. Not any more. I cannot see myself doing it anymore. I think the racing is a bit less exciting than it used to be. I think NASCAR management put a few too many tweaks on it and lessened the enjoyment for the fans. I would much rather watch IMSA or PWC now, but still check into NASCAR on occasion.

Congrats Trick. Looks like I will never be a grandparent.

We are continuing to work on getting settled into the new house & have had some serious interest in the old one. Mike is happy that he has made a big dent in getting the garage set up. Even got us a little freezer. A few pics.

Trick - - Congratulations on the grandkid !! I have four of them 7 thru 4 years old. If I would have know how much fun they would be, then I would have had them first !!

Jan - - The garage looks great. Plenty of room.

I turned 60 in September, already have 8 grandkids with the next one due in January. That total is helped by my wife's eight kids and my three. I agree with ragzl1, grandkids are great (mainly because you can give them back at the end of the day!).

8 Grandchildren - That's great! With only 2 children I hope we'll at least have 4 one day.
