Im not trying to be funny just want to know if it is possible or not.
I am FAR from an expert on this matter, but I'd say if you consider new engine with V8 ECM, exhaust, V8 Transmission, and V8 rear end, (and suspension would be nice with the heavier engine) a plug and play, then I say yes! lol.

If you look at the V6 engine there are a bunch of threaded holes attached to absolutely nothing on the car, which I'm sure is intended to make it easy to use at least the same core components in different cars with different configurations. so your neighbor may just mean that the engine bay has all the mounting points for both engines, which I'm sure is true, but year there are a ton of components which would need to be replaced so you can't just drop a V8 in.

Perfomance Help

I purchased a 2010 Camaro 2lt rs a few months ago and decided I wanted to do some performance upgrades but am unsure in which direction to go in. I was going to do an slp exhaust upgrade, a k&n intake. Are those the best available or is there anyother options for me?

Welcome to the Forum.

Plenty of options.

Use the search button.

Here is a thread for all the exhaust options.

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33104

Plenty of threads for changing the intakes too.

Good Luck

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't SOLO the only one that makes a dedicated cat to be used with the stock setup, while the others require their Headers for use.

Search the V6 section for the thread about the SOLO cats...its in here somewhere. Lots of info there I believe (although I'm not sure if there was a dyno or not??)
