Hi,

My name is Allison and I am a new owner of a 2016 Camaro 2SS,Convertible, Metallic Silver, Red and Black Leather interior. I had a Custom Made GORGEOUS Crossfire, which was taken by Hurricane Irma, with a Tornado thrown in.

I was HYSTERICAL !!

I absolutely LOVE my Camaro, however, I am very confused by all the great Options. It won't take long for me to figure out. I really want to put my own Music in, since Discs are Antiques. Do I need an iPOD ?

I love having the top down, I bought Weather Tech floor mats too.

Welcome aboard, yes an iPod Classic it the way to go for your entire music library in your Camaro. If you use the USB connection your music comes on the infotainment screen. Crossfires look super cool, way better than the Benz SL sibling. Very weird they didn't at least have an aux jack (I test drove a few 07/08s). Even though you got a 2016, it retains some of the radical charm of the 2010-2015s.

I play music through my iPhone and use the usb input, so it charges my phone as well.

Do they still make iPods? When I start my car it connects to GMusicConnect on my phone, pick a playlist and that’s it. But if you need to charge and play at the same time, the USB works great. Plus, your phone works and after you hang up the song picks up where it left off.

Apple discontinued the iPod Classic in Nov 2014 with virtually no notice. eBay & Amazon prices spiked from the 299.00 price to 900 to 1400. They since have come down and there is still nothing on the market like them, with 160G storage. I've only used 2/3rds with my CD library. Just like your phone, my iPod stays charged too.
