BTR STAGE 3 CAM ...
Back in January I installed my Kooks 1 7/8 headers, high flow cats, resonator delete with x pipe and CAI brand intake and dyno tune. Had the Flowmaster Outlaws on right after I got it in 2014. Having the BTR Stage 3 cam installed this week with new tune of course. Put down 423 hp 425 tq corrected and was told to expect around 470 - 480 rwhp.
Anyone with similar mods, many I'm sure, and what did you make? LS3 BTW.. How do you like it and any issues? Last edited by Quicksilver-SS; 03-16-2020 at 07:32 PM. |

I felt the same way and I learned quick not to base it off the numbers. Take it to the track and see what it runs. my car made "406 whp" and it ran an 11.87 @116 (auto) with a full tank of gas in it (didn't plan on taking it to the track that night and filled it up omw home from work).

Something is definitely off. Those are stage 1 and 2 automatic numbers not stage 3 manual numbers. You should absolutely be at 470ish rwhp.

I’m a manual and I made 451hp maybe 415tq with gpi heads/ss3 cam longtubes no cats, but my tuner only adjusted the maf table and spark table, no VE table so I think there’s some ponies left on the table with the tune. But the car traps 116-118 on a warm night, leaving the line at 2-2500rpm. Some cars on here have more Bolt on performance mods than me and a better dyno number by 30-40hp/tq and trap the same as me.

With a manual car 470-480 is reasonable with that set up.

If bolt on cars are trapping the same numbers as you there might be an issue. 450rwhp with heads and a cam is light for sure. The VE table is more for drivability then performance tuning so I wouldn't think that's the issue. |

Sorry for the confusion, I thought the dyno numbers OP posted were after the cam swap so I was saying my dyno numbers are low but I trap the same as other cam swapped guys on here that have more mods than I do
