Thank her and drive the Mustang till you can afford to buy what you want. My first car was a 1988 Dodge Shadow that my parents paid for when I turned 16 in 1995. I'm sure they paid less than $1,000 for it. I had it untill after I got married and we bought our 1st new car in 1999. Not a "cool" car but hey I miss the $10.00 fill up that got me and my friends to and from school and wherever we wanted on the weekends. BTW I only got the car if I got a job to pay for the insurance. Looked something like this....

PLUS: Do you really want a Camaro sitting out in a parking lot with all of the plebian utility vehicles like AMC Hornet wagons with 2 x 4 lined fenders, rusty Chevettes and Dodge Shadows banging your doors every day?

I'm jelouse, You get a car given to you. All I got was a reminder that if I wanted something, I needed to get a job and pay for it. The only thing i was given was the OK to add the car to my parents insurance policy, If I paid for it that is!!!!! Truely, I'm happy for you. Enjoy that car that is free, You can always trade up later.

You got a nice car for nothing. So just take it and enjoy it. It will probably be the only free car you get in your life.

you can't be too picky when your not paying for the car my friend...when you can pay your own way then you can make your own decisions

be grateful you got a 2010 mustang...and not a 1986 honda or somthing like that...

don't trade in the mustang just to get a camaro especially when you will probably be upside down anyway after you graduate and get work...better cars will be out by then and your loan will be up for the stang and you can sell it and use that as a downpayment for the car you truly want

All of the above advice is great!!! Just remember, when u do get ur Camaro, u will appreciate it more cuz it will be something u wanted bad enough to work for.

Well that's a bit much-- He conveyed quite thoroughly, that he wasn't spoiled, and felt a little guilty for "wishing" it was a Camaro. I think the guy genuinely understands the awesomeness of his gift, he just loves the camaro so much, that he was hoping for the Camaro instead.
