and I was fortunate to own both....

I dont regret buying the camaro. it was a nice car and I had a LOT of fun with it. but if I had to choose and since I drove both, raced both, even modified both. I would take the vette over the camaro any day. One of the reasons why I bought the camaro first was because of the back seats (and the fact that they just came out ). BUT I found out that I have probably had people in the back maybe 4-5 times since I bought the car (oct 2009). anyone older than 10-12years cant get comfortable setting in the back.

the camaro is def nice to drive. windshield is small hard to see through, same with the back. seats are not as comfortable as the vettes but still ok. not very stiff suspension (stock) the base C6 is pretty similar, the Z06 though is much stiffer. one thing that I like the most is the ride height... you dont need to worry about bumps ..etc! its fast for what it is (3900#).

but hey to each his own...!!

BTW, after the wedding stuff is over.... if you still have an HPR pass left, it would be fun to hit the track with you and some others - maybe we could teach that Vette a lesson (heck, maybe Larry will join us too). Last time I was there was with Larry, plus I have a stack of tires with just the right amount to tread on my OEMs.

If you can't rag on a Corvette in a Camaro forum, then why even have the forum? Trust me, there's PLENTY of faults with the current Camaro, and I have a laundry list of gripes about my car, but every car has problems...yes, Corvettes too. Especially considering we share the same drivetrain, same crappy clutch, etc.
I've been a Mopar and Mustang fan most of my life, but simply couldn't buy one of their platforms in '10. The Challenger is WAY overpriced for the 425 hp version ( $50K..really??), fat, ugly and has only one body line and side mirrors that Shrek would be proud to wear on his head; and the Mustang was the same price as the Camaro but 110 hp short...Not even a contest.
Corvette...well, no. I already told you how I feel about them. Best thing about them is the weight. If the Camaro would lose a few hundred pounds, they be competitive, but I didn't buy it to be another race car.
I still think they look aggressive enough and don't blend into traffic like some other GM\Mazda offerings. (See, I'm being nice..sorta)

Nuff said...for now.

..at least we're generating some traffic out here. I was beginning to think everyone had deserted to another forum. Man!!!

Don't get me wrong... I do like Vettes. Just had to come gunning for Tom - he thrives on it. It was fun running you last time too. I just need to actually hit 5th gear next time and not have an exit so soon - that was a BLAST!

Doing coilovers on the Camaro helps alot, just takes a little tweaking till the ride hieght is adjusted just where you want it.
