What kind of stuff should a person bring for the pot luck?

You might also throw in a light jacket, it is a bit cooler up on the peak. It went below 40 last night and usually has a slight breeze.

I've heard the Pikes Peak road is not paved all the way to the top. Is this true?

Yes that is true it has a small section that is not paved. They were suposta have just finished paving from the 10 mile to the 11.5 mile point leaving only 1.5 miles of dirt I think. I have not actually been to the top before.

Spoke with the ranger station today.... just the last 1.5 miles is not paved.

I'm not gonna be able to make it though.... could, but just putting off the inevitable - gotta keep remodel going or the todo mountain grows. Next Saturday at Laramie Car show will have to be my Camaro play day. Have fun and do a 14,000 ft burnout and post it! Ha, would be interesting to dyno the cars at that elevation

Larry Miller As far as Pot luck goes.. well since the group has been changing back and forth all week I thought we would just make a stop at the Wal Mart where we will be meeting Les in Woodland Park and do a group buy for our Picinic Lunch needs. So just bring a chair and you should be good. After Pikes Peak and our time there we have a special surprise from Les coming. We will shoot over to Cripple Creek and he will be taking us on a private tour of the Victor Gold Mine where he works. The Victor gold mine is the largest operating gold mine in Colorado and his tour will be one that very few will ever have the chance to see. So if you wake this morning and decide to come along please feel free to meet us at any of the starting locations but please give us a call so we not you are coming and dont leave without you. We had a GREAT time. Thanks to everyone for all you kindness and letting us hang with you for the day. We hope to make it to a lot more of the get togethers. I am sorry for the ones that could not make it. The drive and views were awesome.
