I hate to be a price guy but I suspect Challenger had better deals in Feb (Camaro deals sucked). Also I give it to Dodge, their commercials are all over the place for these cars and well done. Ford and Chevy don't market the Camaro/Mustang well at all. |

Excellent news! More Mustangs and Challengers to mess with on the road . Please keep the sales coming Ford and Dodge it has been really boring in my neck of the woods! Its really nice to own a Camaro that is not seen at ever corner of your eye. I am not a car dealer or make money from sales so most of us can give two Fuks how many cars are sold. The less the better for us Camaro drivers as i wouldn't want to see my twin brother at every other stop light i come to.

I imagine the bulk of the sales are i4/v6 models. It's rare to see a GT / SRT / SS on the road here in AZ.

IMO, the Challenger is more practical for a greater percentage of buyers. It's affordable, seats 4 comfortably, performs well enough in base trim, and has more storage room. The Camaro and Mustangs are more purpose-built and isn't as suitable as a family car. Of course pricing and incentives matter as well.
I'd love to see the breakdown of the Dodge models regarding sales. I see a lot of 6th gen Camaros down here. More so than Challengers. |

Ouch the Mustang was down by 2,500 units, although the car markets looks to be hitting the bottom which is good news.

The refresh may be the problem (although I obviously like it).
I may be oversimplifying, but to me the Challenger has barely changed in 10 years. Continues to sell well despite its gargantuan proportions compared to the 70's era car I actually once owned. I hear it's getting a platform separate from the Charger soon. What sounds to me like a sensible direction will probably kill sales. http://thenewswheel.com/rumor-dodge-...-new-platform/ |
