Ceramic coat headers
I'm purchasing kooks headers with high flow cats. What I would like to know is should I get the high flow cats ceramic coated too? And also does anyone know if JET HOT coating is good? OR should I get them coated elsewhere?

JetHot is a good company and I’d get the cats coated too. Ask them about doing the inside of the headers. The good thing about going with JetHot is you keep the warranty
I had mine cerakoted and it’s alright stuff. Has held up pretty well, but the coating at the collectors is starting to show some age. If I was to do it again I’d send them to Swaintech

Jet Hot is the best. I do not have my cats coated, but my headers are.

I went with Jet Hot as well. After about 1500 miles, they still look as they came, nice shinny chrome.

Depending where you are buying your headers it is usually much cheaper to get them coated by the speed shop. I got my headers coated by CSP for $225 when I bought them. I called Jet-Hot direct about getting them coated and they wanted 3 times as much.

Jet hot is a rip off and i've heard the coating doesn't even last. Had Jannetty send mine to their guy. $300 coated inside and out. They wanted over $1k to do mine because i'm supercharged. I promptly hung up.

Same here, had mine done through Jannetty's guy. I think it was around 300 bucks, took them 2 days and they coated them inside and out.

I ordered my Kooks from Jet Hot and they coated the cats too. Only been on 6 months but look as good as the day I put them on.

Dunno, she tried to tell me i needed the higher heat coating. My headers now look brand new at a fraction of the price and through jannettys experience will stay that way for decades.

Not sure why they wanted $1,000 for a supercharged coating for you. I know there is a different coating that goes up to a higher temperature for forced induction applications as the heat does go up. Still $1,000 is more than I've seen quoted for the higher temp coating historically.
