Got the hood, dents and z28 grill in

Well after getting my hood issues fixed if you followed my other thread. It was an install issue body shop said, wasn't installed properly. I decided to get the dent in the door fixed and while I was at it added a z28 replica grill. Definitely opened up the grill and gets more airflow. Looks more intimidating now I think.

Couldn't find one for now. Only ones online are going for stupid money. Bodyshop said they could make a custom one but I had the ss and regular chevy emblem back on and it didn't look right with the z grill. Once I took it off it looked cleaner but I think the flow tie on the z28 does look good. It is the lack of contrast, plus my car is ashen grey so it's already pretty dark. In the sun I think it looks better overall then factory. You can see that huge trans cooler in there for sure.lol
What I did notice is looking at the digital temp read out it was getting a few degrees cooler overall. Once I did the z28 grill and removed the water tray I think those two make a small but measurable difference in getting cold air in and hot air out.

This thread shows you what a yellow car looks like with one. Pops out more with the contrast. On the bottom of the first page the black ss with the flowtie looks good. Several on the forum have taken a dremel to the factory one and hollowed it out. Body shop said it wouldn't be hard just a little time consuming. Probably might try it myself but honestly I like it with no bowtie better than the factory gold for sure. I also added a black vinyl sticker to the back bowtie. Looks really good. Much better than the factory gold on grey that was horrid.

I completely agree with you the factory gold bow tie is ugly.
