Wouldn't the term "Hazard" have something to do with it?

The hazzard light button is used as one of a few ways to turn the car off after an auto-start via key fob. If they are already on when trying to start the car with your remote, you get a conflict, and the hazzards win.

Your question is probably being misinterpreted. Are you asking what physically/mechanically causes the auto start to disengage when the hazard lights are on or are you just asking why that feature exists? I would say that the hazard lights being on electronically cuts the auto start and "why" is because having the hazard lights on would normally indicate that you may not want to inadvertently remote start the car. You could be under the car fixing something, overheating, blown engine, or something like that.

I have no clue what the OP is asking...
Is it: Why does the remote start not work when the hazzard lights are on? Is this even the case? I have a stick so I dont have remote start. |

Same reason there's no automatic start if you have a check engine light on
