SW Camaro ?

Went by the Dealer a few days ago to check out any '12s in stock. Found a beautiful SW 1LT. But couldn't help but notice the big difference between the paint on the body and bumpers. The body was the great SW color but the bumpers had to be at least a shade darker??? Look like they were not even painted with the same paint

Don't get me wrong, i'm not bashing GM - i love Chevys! Just wish they would fix this problem. Thought the '12s were going to get an upgraded paint?

Any other light/med colors have this problem?

Thanks

My SW is like that. It took me at least a couple of weeks to figure that out too.

All the panels on my 2009 SW Camaro match perfectly even after 2 1/2 years.
It's an early build (8/4/09) so go figure ?

Here's a shot of mine. Color match is pretty good. A little darker bumper you say? That's the Clear bra.

Mine is way off too. I'm the only one that notices though. It looks like it almost has a yellow tint. Doesn't bother me.

I know. Plus no paint chips even after 15,000 miles, trips to South Florida and into Canada, etc.
I'm not complaining.

Nice CAMARO!

It's like that on the rear bumper also. So, a clear bra is not the answer. Although "clear bra" does bring up some good images

I just took deliverey of my new 2012 SW on Tuesday and the body/bumper color match seems to be perfect. At least to my old eyes anyway.

My bumpers/fuel door are off from the rest of the car a little, but after a year and a half I really don't notice it anymore.

I think I read somewhere that it's the different materials they use for the bumpers vs the body of the car that makes it look a shade darker. That combined with the angle that it's at messes with your eyes so you think it's darker. My bumper looks like a different color in my garage, but it doesn't really bother me.
