Keep the tips close to the mesh and you'll be fine. Don't cut them off too short, or the bezel could get too hot.

Thats all!

I've seen melted and stained bumpers from well-intended mods. Not trying to incite paranoia, just trying to help keep your beautiful ride well-preserved.

This is what they are talking about if your tips are too far back. The dealership put my exhaust tips back a tad far and had to replace my diffuser.

Whoa!

Mine is metal though, all around the exhaust tips. So that's a good thing, no melting plastic!

I bet if you look close those are metal over plastic. Just be careful I would hate for all that nice work go for naught.

My tips are about 3 inches inside the GFX bezel and have been for almost 3 years. I have not had any problems at all, and I'm using the factory tips. A little metal polish every couple of months and my bezels still look like new.

I checked and they're solid metal thank goodness

Thanks y'all! I'm gonna try moving the tips back an inch or two and the mesh. Will post when it is done!

Sarah, how many times do we have to go over this. You once again installed the part onto the wrong car!!!!

Would you please put it on my car with the heritage grill where they properly belong?!?!?!

You're doing a great job with the car Sara! I know everyone has their own preference on how the exhaust should look. My tips stick out past my bezels......and I like it like that........and that's what's important To each their own.........exactly

That is good then, you should have no problems with your plans. Go for it and I hope it turns out as awesome as you hope for.
On a side note, I never really cared too much for the rear diffuser in the kit, but I loved the side skirts. Just wish I could find some really cheap.
