Out of business standpoint yes. Out of my own staindpoint no! It's a muscle car damnit! Buy the V8 if you want a stick shift.

i don't know a 260-300 HP V6 might be alot of fun to drive as a manual, i won't say i'd buy one as soon as they come out, i'm still hoping to be able to afford a V8...if gas prices continue to go up i am definitely going with the V6 and i would probably pick the manual if available

^Well I wouldn't say that actually. I have to admit that my 4-cylinder Saab is a very fun car to drive so a V6 might be fun as well.

Hey everybody...

I've been coming to this site for months now, but I just signed up today for the forums.

I'm sure this has been addressed several times, but does anyone know about the leg room in the 5th gen Camaro? Actually, "knee room" would be a better way to describe it. I drove a 2005 GT Mustang the other day, and at 6' 5" my right knee was pressed against the dash the whole time.

I have been putting money away for a down payment on a new Camaro for a few months, so I plan on getting one whether I really can fit into it or not. I just hope it's not too uncomfortable.

Either way, it will be worth it.

Those who have sit in the concept says it's very roomy. In general GM cars are roomier then Fords IMO, but I could of course be wrong. I too would like a defenitive answer on this seeing as I'm 6'3" myself.

Also, welcome to the forums

Not a bad idea at all, but I'd say only if it'll bring down the cost of that particular model...you know....18,000 for the manual V6 and add $1,000 option to make it auto. And....only if the tech is already there.

Yea i think it should, cause if someone loves the camaro but needs a bare bones one too afford it, he probably wants the manual so its cheaper. And to a lot of people, a v6 is still performance to them so a manual is needed.

Thanks, Emher! That is good news. I won't have to get my legs shortened.

Yes. I love banging gears. GM can keep the slush boxes for the Buicks and Cadillacs.

+1 This is definitely important!

One of my favorite things about my Mustang is the fact that wide rims can go on the back without looking weird. With a 10.5" wide rim, the outside edge is flush with the quarter panel. It looks very nice, and I really hope GM takes that into consideration. The rims extending beyond the quarter panel looks hideous.

This was a major concern to me at 6'7" tall. This is good info above and if anyone has more please let us know.

They raised the roof 15mm from the concept.

I read an anonymous post elsewhere that said a GM employee told him there will be RS, Z28, SS models. Said V6 was detuned to 260hp so it wouldn't steal Z28 sales.

But the part I liked best was he said they extended the seat rails from the concept for taller people. I hope this guy was accurate.

I have always fit into Camaros and Firebirds comfortably.

I fit into the current Mustang comfortably.

Make sure you get power seats for full adjustability.

The Pontiac G8 (Camaro's sibling) is extremely roomy inside. I mean I got in and said whoa! The Camaro platform is modified, but there's plenty of leg room front and rear on the G8 so hopefully this translates to a roomy "mid-size coupe" Camaro.

Interior spy shots look nice and roomy. (Dust, dirt, and test equipment not included on production model)

Exterior spy shots show an average sized engineer has plenty of room between the roof and his head. I noticed an engineer in one photo standing outside the car and later a shot of him driving it.

Nurburing photos show it has room for helmets to be worn, even though the seats may be lower than production or may not.

Again, anymore feedback is welcome

a shifting position/mode instead i believe i gives more of a manual feel to it

Oh ya can I get GOLD STRIPES?

Tall People Information

I found this from a year ago from one of the focus group...

Comments on vert concept interior roominess:

Seats are suprisingly comfortable, and the interior is very roomy! Even in the back seat of the convertible I was quite comfortable.

Tall people need not worry about fitting in this car, probably 99% of people will fit in it comfortably.
