need a little advice
Ok so I have been reading and looking on exhausts and I don't quite know what to do. I have a 2014 2ls and I would like to have a aggressive but not loud exhaust so my problem is since the headers and exhaust are all one piece what should I go for. Should I go for the whole thing or go for pipes and tips and do I need a Cadillac converter on it or can I get rid of it. Sorry for all the questions I just suck as a mechanic lol I have so much I want to do but don't know where to start.

Keep it affordable while experimenting. I would go with Flowmaster axle back and see how that sounds. They make great stuff made here in the USA.

There are literally thousands of posts on headers and exhaust. Do some reading. Headers and the rest of your exhaust are separate components. I would suggest (if tou are not worried about warranty) is a set of headers, hi flo cats and a tune. Leave the rest of the exhaust stock and see what you think. Any other changes in exhaust are purely for sound preference and will not affect performance. Good luck.

Welcome to camaro5. It's a great community. The v6 doesn't have headers, but you can def change the exhaust sound..we do have a sub form where you can listen to the different sounds via YouTube..

It consists of new pipes, mufflers and tips from the axle back. Once you get it, take it to a muffler shop and have them install. Then, see how you like it. If you don't like certain aspects, there are other things you can do. https://www.ohio-speed.com/p-12201-2...ck-91a177.aspx

I would, we have a Flowmaster series 80 muffler on our 4th gen V6 and it sounds awesome.
When we had it installed at the muffler shop, there was another V6 4th gen getting a Magnaflow. After fireing them both up and as we were driving away the guy was trying to get the shop to remove the Magnaflow and install a Flowmaster. |

There is no way to put headers on..the design of the engine prevents it

Borla makes the GMPP exhaust & their V6 exhaust sounds great. It is still quiet at idle & cruise but gives a good growl on WOT & start-up. Check the V6 section where you will find a lot of videos of the different set-ups. Mine is a 2010 so I have the LLT engine but the sound is similar. Here is mine.
