that would put it in the $50k range. Corvette starts at $52k

You can get a better price than 42.5k. Rodgers has a 14 ZL1 with 4k miles for 44k. Look around a guy in my club picked up a 12 with 8k miles for 37k this winter.

Found a few within 200 miles on autotrader below 40K with some pretty low mileage

It looks like I might be looking at a trade up to a Z in the next couple of years.

I was in the same position with the same thinking as you OP. I was at the point of 1. do I install a supercharger and cam or 2. trade my 2010 2SS/RS in on a 2012/13 barely used ZL1.

My SS is almost paid off and is modded the way I like it so I decided to keep it. Plus I want to get rid of bloody car payments and get an RV to go camping with the family.

Keep the car you have and supercharge it. I was gonna sell mine and go to something more exotic like an Audi R8 or GTR, but decided to supercharge my SS instead since it's paid for and its the best decision I've made. Turned it into a total different machine, and anyone I take for a ride, their mouths drop in the passenger seat. Money well spent!

NA rules. I especially find SC whine obnoxious. How much of the power you have now do you use on the street? A very small % I would guess. I've only got 420 RWHP in my vert and can't come close to using that. How many miles per year do you drive it? I'm only putting 5000/yr so spending $20-30K to trade up makes little sense to me.

I can barely hear my supercharger, and that's only when on it full throttle. I drive mine 1500 miles a year or so and totally justify the money spent by the smile on my face in first and second gear. But hey that's just me.

And some people like open exhaust....

I was watching some of the ride-along videos in the new ZL1--it was loud and a particularly annoying pitch. Just sayin', be sure you like it before going to all the trouble and expense.

it would be $16k for me to trade. iv done a SC on my 6.2l Silverado. I didnt like the boost kicking in going up hills. 30mph zone it kicks in and you're doing 40. I love the sc whine. Ya my cars fast enough and I dont drive it like a kid. I cant be getting tickets. I decided if i ever sell this car im getting a Vette. would have to be a C6 with suspension mods or a C7. I drove a 10 C6 after I did the suspension on my Camaro. the vette had 12k on it and handled like crap compared.
