I've never had the issue they describe in the recall, and there's no way I'm trading my folding key/fob for a straight key with separate fob...I might take it in if they offer to install a push-to-start system

That's my plan as well. I'm just worried that if I have to take it in for warranty issues then they will make me change the keys. I actually have some issues now that I need to have looked at. Probably going to go down there tomorrow and get everything addressed and see what they say. I figure if I hurry up and get it done now, before the new keys are sent out, then I should be okay.

Blake, is it running? If so what did it put down?

I also will be forgoing the recall. Warranty expired so I have no reason to bring it to the dealer anymore.

Warranty work shouldn't matter for recalls. You only approve what you want worked on. I would think a dealer could get Into trouble for performing unapproved by customer work.
