On the road to Lake Placid

Don't see much of these around

Scenic flights $40/person you haven't seen the Adirondacks till you've seen'em by air

Lake Tear of the Clouds, from whence the mighty Hudson springs forth

The summit of Mount Marcy, highest peak in the state. Notice how the peak is above the clouds. Last year we climbed it, took us two days. The view on top is best on clear days. Its strange being inside a cloud not the 360 degree spectacle we expected but still quite an experience if that's what you like

No civilization for 100 miles in this direction

Mirror Lake, the ice has melted since I've last been here

Sunsets are amazing

The Adirondacks are not difficult to appreciate, yet an eye for subtlety can be very rewarding

Our lovely giude, Chelsea

Roxanne was a fiesty mare

In the front, Daisy, my horse; she was a docile creature. Spud, in the back, led the way

How about 425 horses?

On the way to the mythical "Blackhole"

WE FOUND IT!!!

Best trip ever

Can't wait to go back
