I wouldn’t spend the extra money if he is gonna “sell” you the stock set of tires. Those should come with in my opinion. Is he also gonna “sell” you the gas he put in it. RUN!!

I had a good conversation with the seller tonight.
I explained what my immediate concerns were and he also.
The seller is a LEO of 30 years. I'm sure he does not hand out trust lightly.
He is a car enthusiast who will buy cars as a hobby as he did with this ZL1.
The ZL1 was always on his list of vehicles to own. He explained that he would go to the dealership and sit in one, but he never committed.
He is actually a Corvette guy. He purchased a new Corvette in 2012 and had it delivered.
The receiving dealership put it on a lift and damaged the rocker panels on it. Needless to say this left him jaded.
He now has a new 2019 grand sport.

So his fear and apprehension fueled my fear and apprehension.

Feeling confident again and will be flying out for a meet and greet and a test drive.

Thanks for the advice, information and laughs. This is great forum.
I will add more as this progresses.

If it’s a M6 check the exhaust port on the trans for clutch soot, there shouldn’t be any with those miles, but if you see some on the trans or right side of the frame either the clutch has been slipped a lot or it has 1000’s of miles.

Follow your instincts. You can still see the car, but if it doesn't jive then turn it down. You have to shop around to get the right car.

A Z28 would have been more likely to have been tracked. A SS or v6 driven by a kid might have been beat on more too. As ZME said not a bad idea to look for signs of abuse but with 800mi ZL1 car with carfax it's less likely. I'd feel more comfortable buying that car than one from a dealer, at least you know the last owner and with low mi and how tough the ZL1 is, not likely to be a lemon.
Someone just recently posted a pic of his ZL1 next to his raptor. You're in the right demographic apparently as several forum people have bro-dozers and ZL1s.

Hey Silver, I believe it is an 800 mile car.
Also, a forum member reached out to me via PM. He is body shop guy of 38 years.
He saw the pics of this ZL1 too and said it was an 800 mile vehicle.
He said to take pics and send them to him and he would help verify condition of body and frame.

I fired Lemon Squad and will search out a new outfit to perform a vehicle inspection.

I hope to park this ZL1 next to my "Bro-Dozer".......LOL.

I flew out to check out this ZL1 and it was immaculate.
The body and frame structure were good.
Stock battery was healthy (Surprisingly).
The intercooler coolant was filled to the top when I popped off the cap.
Engine was strong as well as the transmission and paddle shifters.
I went over this car completely.
The only thing I noticed was the passenger window appears to drop down just slightly further than the drivers window when opening the doors.
Everything was in "As New" condition.
It was a real beauty.
So I completed the deal and flew back home this evening.
I have the title in hand but will need to transport the ZL1 home.
I requested shipping quotes from Reliable and Intercity and they are both 2 months out for delivery (OUCH).

I'm going to pm you the Number of one of my good customers that does Shipping. I had him ship a car to me 2 months ago in a 2 Car Hauler ( the other car in the trailer was an all steel 34) so it came quickly & safely.
