Nitrous Express is the best in my opion. Zex is a good kit but if I was going to put a nitrous kit on my camaro it would be a nitrous express kit.

I have the Ny-trex triple threat system on my 2012 V-6. Easy install, great wiring!!! and no need to buy anything else to do the install. Took me about an hour from start to finish. I have some photos in my albums on this install. If you go with this system PM me there are few little items/directions that are not clear in the supplement. If you have installed systems before you will understand when installing what should have been added to clarify about nozzle location and direction. If this is your first time installing a system P/M me for some insite. The folks at DEI are very friendly to talk to also.
Enjoy what ever system you choose. Rick |

Stand-by......Nitro Dave over at the Nitrous Outlet will be releasing their complete kit specifically designed for the V6 Camaro's. This kit will offer various power levels. I will be working with Dave and will post a complete detailed install of the kit (with pictures step by step). I'll be initially setting it at 75hp. The installed and post should be done within the next 3 weeks. This kit will be worth waiting for!!

How hard is nitrous on 3.6l
I have never run nitrous before and want to know how hard is it on these 3.6L engines? I have a 2011 Camaro V6 vert as a weekend cruiser, with a few mods, vararam intake, ported tb, vmax ice-olator, Trifecta tune, BBK ss lt headers and Corsa ss cat back exhaust. So I really dont have 7K to drop on a supercharger for only about 100 rwhp, if I could get that from nitrous for about 1K. The questions is, how hard is nitrous going to be on the engine? I will play with it somewhat, but mainly the car is a weekend cruiser and spends most of her time sitting. Have had her 6 months and just turned 2,000 miles. So a little help here would be greatly appreciated.
Also, does anyone know if the triple threat system comes with all the safety switches, ie window switch, etc? Also, what is the recommended best nitrous system to buy and biggest shot recommended to be used? |

As far as the Nytrex Triple Threat System, the best thing to do is contact the company directly through email or phone if you're interested in that system. There's also a Zex nitrous kit that some people on here have. If you really know what you're doing with nitrous then you can go with NX Express or Cold Fusion Nitrous for either a plate kit or direct porting. I had a performance shop that's experienced with nitrous do the work on my car.
No matter what, the system should only be used at the drag strip. |

The NyTrex name has been around for many years now owned be Design Engineering DEI out of ohio. We have been a dealer for Nytrex and DEI for many many years they sell and manufacture only top quality products made here in the US. We work with DEI on the intial design and build of this the Gen 5 V6 nitrous system so we are very very in touch with it. This sytem is easy to install about 2 hours if you haven't done one before. The triple threat system is very simple and a great system to install all 3 selenoids are mounted on one plate and prewired so it is plug and go. Bring all your feed lines into the correct selenoid and away you go. So you have fuel, nitrous, purge all in one location ready and easy to install on this kit its already mounted to the bracket bolt it to the exhaust bracket and run your lines very simple. The wet system plate bolts between the throttle body and the intake and you run your fuel and nitrous line and thats installed.
When the 2010 Camaro V6 was announced, automotive enthusiasts were excited and encouraged. Its styling and horsepower rating (over 300hp) were necessary to give the Camaro V6 credible placement in a demanding market. The engineers at GM were successful and their effort is much appreciated! Some time has passed since the new Camaro was introduced, and enthusiasts want more out of this modern pony car. DEI has the solution! With the Ny-Trex Triple-Threat wet nitrous oxide system, up to an additional 100hp is just a spray away. This system is specifically designed for the new Camaro V6. With exception to mounting the bottle, drilling, cutting, and wire splicing is eliminated. Intentionally designed around the Ny-Trex Triple-Threat valve, this system includes a v-spray purge (not found in competitors kits). All hardware is custom fabricated for this application and wiring is tailored for a clean and easy installation.Includes Triple-Threat Valve, Purge, Fuel Safety Switch, 10 lb Bottle, Pressure Geuge, Spray-Plate, Single Nozzle, Mounting Hardware, 35, 50, 75, and 100 hp jetting. Special Features:
Any questions please feel free to call us 888.493.8041 this is a great system and performance fantasic. |
