When I changed the differential lube, I was suprised at the amount of crud and slugde I drained. I'm glad I did it before I start tracking it.

For those that might be curious, the oil change + diff was $227 from the dealership

Ouch! Just started changing my own oil, because M1 is expensive, so I don't want to add labor that I can do myself.

A friend mechanic told me he changed his girlfriends diff fluid on her 700 mile LT, and it was nasty sludge. He was shocked how bad it was. My SS has 48k miles, and so I can't wait to see my diff fluid. No telling if previous owner ever changed it.

Glad you're not going back to that original dealer. Can't believe they didn't change your oil on your own request. That's odd.

I'm doing my own also cant afford not to! NO ONE I mean NO one will treat my ZL1 like i will plus I know its done right. Just need to keep a accurate log in case of warranty issues. I would be extremely angry if the service had not been done!
