Blackened front end (grill)
I really like the blackened front end on the LS7 Camaro. Does anyone know if that's an insert or if it was painted?

That particular one is probably painted but it's totally capable of being made an insert or decal.

I've never been a fan of mocking models, so I would hope my attempt wouldn't be viewed as mimicking the LS7. But I really do like that look. I think it brings more attention to the nose making it look more aggressive.

as long as you don't go slapping an "LS7" badge on it i think you'll be fine in not mimicking it.

I really hadn't noticed that blacked in front end till you brought it up. It looks really good. So many ideas we could go with. I like it...

Maybe same black material used in the headlight "pods" on the third gens.
Does look good. More sinister... |

Yep. I'd be up for that and the blacked out rear end.
