What was the car that started it all for you ?
The car that started me on the road to being a car nut was the 63 Corvette Stingray Coupe , I was 11 when they hit the road and it was all I could dream about since I first saw that car . I still dream of owning a gen 2 Corvette

I seriously think I was a car nut from birth.. My first ride ever in life was in my fathers Pearl white 1967 GTO black leather hardtop...Sad to say he ended up giving it to my uncle after my younger brother was born who ended up selling it to some guy who wrapped it around a pole. I would have loved to have that car sitting in my garage

It was the Corvette.
I don't know what year, I was a little kid. Used to watch BJ & The Bear a lot! Wanted a purple rig and a purple corvette to come home to! What a weird kid I was Then when I was 12, my sisters boyfriend had an orange 69 Camaro. I so loved that car! |

Hmm, well my mom gave me a 1967 Hot Wheels Camaro when i was 6. My parents bought a new 1978 Camaro when i was 6. Believe it or not another thing that did it for me is i saw part of the movie "Corvette Summer" on tv. That Vette looks pretty goofy today, but at the time that candy apple red painted Corvette seemed cool.

My dad had a 1986 IROC-Z when I was little (possibly before I was born, Idk for sure) but that's what pretty much started my love of Camaros and all cars in general. And then he had a 2001 WS6 for a while and my step dad has had a 93 Z and 30th and 35th Anniversary Camaros so I guess it runs in the family. Between me, my dad, brother, and step dad we currently have 6 Camaros in the family. I also like trucks too and a lot of other cars besides the Camaro. I would say being into cars can definately be influenced by family.

I've always been a car nut. From as far back as I can remember, I've always had toy cars as a kid, and I loved every bit of the idea of driving them, owning them, and having fun with them. I had several pedal cars and Power Wheels style cars, and so did a lot of the kids in the neighborhood where I lived the first 6 years of my life. Probably the biggest thing to solidify things was that my mother had a black and gold '79 Trans Am, and my folks got me a matching pedal car.
But I've always liked cars, and I like all kinds of different cars for all kinds of different reasons. Most every car has some bit of charm to me, from the most high-powered Italian supercars, to the lowliest AMC Gremlin. I distincly remember turning 8 years old and excitedly thinking for quite a while, "Only another 8 years, and I can have a driver's license!"

Also, Dad worked on cars for people all the time at home. I grew up with a wrench in my hand. |

It was 1984, I was 14 and I saw one of these. 1959 Corvette Vert.
Of course I couldn't get one so I bought a 1973 Z28. It was 13 years old and kind of a pos but it was mine and it's been all Camaro in my mind ever since. Of course I HATED the 4th Gen so when it became official they would make the 5th Gen and keep it true to concept, I bought Bonnie a Lexus IS350 in a deal that would bring me my 5th Gen Camaro last week. It's funny though, how so many were brought to the fanhood of cars by Corvettes. |
