Question 2015 Camaro and Galaxy Watch

I have a 2015 Camaro 2SS RS paired to a Galaxy Note20 Ultra and they work flawlessly together.

I recently bought a Galaxy Watch7 with 4G LTE, which is my first smartwatch, and activated it with a line through my cellphone carrier. I left the phone at home, removed it from paired devices in the car and paired the watch with the car. It shows that it was successfully paired, but when I initially attempt to make a call through the car, the car says that it doesn't "understand my voice command". I hang up and each time thereafter that I attempt to make a call, the car recognizes my voice commands, but instead of dialing it says that it "cannot perform the request" at the moment. When I turn off the car, then turn it back on, the process repeats.

Please tell me how to make the car and the smartwatch work together. 🙏

IMHO I believe the smart watch is not compatible because it is too "NEW" and "ADVANCED" for the technology in our 5th Gens. I may be wrong and hopefully someone else chimes in. I have a 10 XS MAX iPhone that will only pair with my 2010 Camaro via bluetooth for hands free phone calls but will not pair with music apps on the phone other than hooking it up directly with USB.

I'm only trying to make hands free phone calls, so while I truly appreciate your response, I hope you're mistaken.

These devices dont support the same protocols constantly. Its not designed for it since the watch depends on the phone for phonebook and what not. Yes it "has data" but its not meant to be reliant for connecting to the car.

I believe you're partially onto something. The watch is the 4G LTE model, so it is intended to function as a standalone product... but, T-Mobile has two types of watch 4G LTE plans: paired and standalone.
They both get an assigned phone number, but the paired plan connects to the existing phone number, so calls and texts must be made using the primary number and cannot be made using the assigned number. The standalone plan allows the assigned number to function independently, so it's simply an additional phone number and calls and texts can made through it.
I purchased the paired plan, because I don't want yet another phone number. Now, I think that the car is trying to use the assigned phone number on the watch for calls and isn't capable "understanding" the paired primary number.

As Leo72793 stated.. it seems our vehicles do not support it.

While the watch can be "standalone" its does not have the primary function to be a phone. phones have different BT protocols to talk to radios and interact with controls. They are not meant to do the function you have requested. Unfortunately there is no fix or method to make it work.

I have a iPhone 11 and can Bluetooth music. It is a little confusing though once you pair your phone to the car for hand free calling you can’t Bluetooth music, but if you go to AUX jack out and then go to Bluetooth settings on your phone and connect to gmmusicconnect or something similar (I changed mine). Then it should say iphone on the radio. Go to your app of choice and enjoy. Hope this made sense I’m currently on lunch break

Interesting... I just upgraded to an iPhone 15 a few days ago and will try this. XM satellite music is becoming old because it always seems to be on loop no matter what station you listen in on. I like DI.FM Radio and Pandora. No issues using it in my Xterra.. but will definitely give this a go.
