I do love the TPMS... dashboard lights up, and I can pull over and fix it before it becomes a big problem. And, I've gotten pretty good at plugging, too: I can usually do it without taking the wheel off of the car, and, if I've noticed the problem before the TPMS has (like, say, I hear that tell- tale "click...click... click..." with each wheel rotation, indicating that I may have picked up a nail or a screw), I can often have the plug in place without even losing a full 2 PSI. I do carry a compressor (and I have a spare, even though I've never had to use it on this car), so I can refill it, but I don't always NEED to while on the side of the road.

I have needle nose plyers, little bottle of water with soap, and a patch kit in my trunk. I have only had to use once but it was nice to not have it towed. Pull screw out use the tool and material to plug the tire. Then took it to Discount tires to re plug it.

Brought our Camaro a year ago in July with 1,500 miles on it, used car and warranty was done the 5 of August, big screw in the sidewall on the 10th of August. Had to replace the tire with only 1,800 miles on it. Not a happy day.

I was able to finally get my tire repaired under the TireRack warranty at the dealership last Friday on my day off. At the same time I had my AC serviced and refreshed. All is well for now.
